RALEIGH, NC – Ron Francis, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has recalled defenseman Michal Jordan (MIH-kahl yohr-DAHN) from the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League (AHL). Jordan was assigned to Charlotte on a conditioning stint on Dec. 14, and scored three goals in four Checkers games, helping the team to a 3-0-1 record in that span.
Jordan, 25, has played in 10 games with the Hurricanes this season. The Zlin, Czech Republic, native is in his sixth professional season, and has scored two goals and earned four assists (6 points) in 53 career NHL games with the Hurricanes.
