RALEIGH, NC – Ron Francis, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has reassigned forward Brock McGinn to the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Recalled by the Hurricanes on Oct. 14, McGinn, 21, earned two points in his NHL debut at Detroit on Oct. 16 and totaled three points (2g, 1a) and in 12 games during his first NHL stint. The Fergus, Ont., native scored a pair of goals in two AHL games for Charlotte prior to his recall, and has earned 29 points (17g, 12a) in 79 career AHL games.
