RALEIGH, NC – Ron Francis, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has reassigned goaltender Daniel Altshuller to the Florida Everblades of the ECHL. Altshuller will join the Everblades today prior to their game tonight against the Norfolk Admirals in Norfolk, VA.
Altshuller, 21, was recalled to Carolina on Tuesday, and served as backup to Eddie Lack in the team’s 2-1 win against Winnipeg. He has posted a 9-6-3 record with a 2.55 goals-against average, a .913 save percentage and one shutout in 19 games this season for Carolina’s American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Charlotte Checkers.
