RALEIGH, NC – Ron Francis, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has acquired defenseman Dennis Robertson from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for goaltender Drew MacIntyre.
Robertson, 24, is in his second full professional season, notching five points (2g, 3a) in 37 games with Chicago’s American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Rockford IceHogs. The Fort St. John, BC, native was originally selected by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the sixth round of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, but was acquired by Carolina on Jan.
