RALEIGH, NC – The Carolina Hurricanes of the National Hockey League today announced the details of the team’s annual holiday community day, to take place on Thursday, Dec. 17.
At 1:30 p.m., groups of Hurricanes players will visit REX Hospital in Raleigh, WakeMed Children’s Hospital in Cary and UNC Children’s Hospital in Chapel Hill to spread holiday cheer. Players will hand out blankets and Hurricanes items, and will take pictures and sign autographs as they visit with patients.
Later on Wednesday at Crabtree Valley Mall, six Hurricanes players will join five children from the Durham Nativity School to help them shop for holiday gifts for their families.
