The Carolina Hurricanes dropped both of their games on Friday night in Florida in their first ever “two games in one night” experiment.
They were shut out in Tampa Bay, 4-0 and lost in Sunrise, 4-2. Your humble narrator did not have the pleasure to watch either game so I will have no specific commentary.
I will say though that whoever came up with the idea to play two games simultaneously with a split squad as well as split coaching staff, might want to rethink that strategy, even if it is just preseason.
I thought it was a mistake the first time I saw it on the schedule.
