RALEIGH, NC – Ron Francis, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has reassigned forward Patrick Brown to the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Brown, 23, has appeared in seven NHL games for the Hurricanes this season, totaling one goal and one assist. The Bloomfield Hills, MI, native ranks tied for sixth among Checkers skaters with 13 goals in 66 AHL games this season. Brown (6’1”, 210 lbs.) played four seasons at Boston College before turning professional, and was a member of the Eagles’ 2012 NCAA championship team.
