RALEIGH, NC – Ron Francis, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has reassigned forwards Patrick Brown, Brody Sutter and Brendan Woods to the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Brown, 23, has appeared in five NHL games for the Hurricanes this season, totaling one goal and one assist. The Bloomfield Hills, MI, native has netted 13 goals (13) in 66 AHL games for Charlotte this season. Brown (6’1”, 210 lbs.) played four seasons at Boston College before turning professional, and was a member of the Eagles’ 2012 NCAA championship team.
