The Carolina Hurricanes failed on their attempt to win six games in a row but they did pick up an important point as they lost to the St. Louis Blues, 2-1 Saturday night in a shootout.
Antti Raanta was back in net for Carolina and he played very well as he made 21 saves on 22 shots.
The Blues took the lead mid way through the first period when Nathan Walker broke in alone.
The Canes tied it up shortly afterward and scored on their only powerplay chance of the game when Teuvo Teravainen put in a shot after a faceoff win by Jack Drury.
