RALEIGH, NC – Ron Francis, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that forward Andrej Nestrasil will miss the remainder of the 2015-16 season.
Nestrasil, 25, suffered a fractured vertebra in Carolina’s game at Toronto on Feb. 25, when he sustained a hit and fell awkwardly into the boards. The Prague native posted NHL career-highs this season in games played (55), goals (9), assists (14) and points (23), and had earned 14 points (4g, 10a) in Carolina’s 20 games from Jan. 8-Feb. 23, prior to being injured.
