Andrej Nestrasil to Miss Remainder of Season

RALEIGH, NCRon Francis, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that forward Andrej Nestrasil will miss the remainder of the 2015-16 season.

Nestrasil, 25, suffered a fractured vertebra in Carolina’s game at Toronto on Feb. 25, when he sustained a hit and fell awkwardly into the boards. The Prague native posted NHL career-highs this season in games played (55), goals (9), assists (14) and points (23), and had earned 14 points (4g, 10a) in Carolina’s 20 games from Jan. 8-Feb. 23, prior to being injured.
