The dust has settled on free agency, and the Carolina Hurricanes seem to be content with the group of forwards they currently have.
When you’re a team on the rise like the Hurricanes, you typically don’t want to have a bunch of question marks in important roles on your team. Unfortunately, the Canes do have a number of those unknowns heading into a season where they could be the first group to make the postseason three straight years since relocation.
The good news is that those question marks aren’t at the very top of the lineup, which is a unique situation for a franchise that has struggled to maintain elite talent.
