Welcome to NHL Draft Day. This year’s format will be pretty much the same as last year, with each of the league’s teams making their pick remotely. The Hurricanes will have the 27th overall pick in round one, although it’s really the 26th pick due to Arizona’s forfeited pick.
What should we expect to see when the Canes make their pick? Given their philosophy over the last few drafts, there’s a good chance it will be a forward. Or will they make the pick? The Canes have already made one trade, the stunner that sent Alex Nedeljkovic to Detroit yesterday, and it’s possible the team’s first rounder could be in play as they look to upgrade next year’s roster.
