Minnesota Wild assistant coach Darryl Sydor was arrested Thursday on suspicion of DUI and child endangerment.
"We are aware of the reports regarding Darryl Sydor. We are continuing to gather information and will have further comment at the appropriate time," the Wild said in a statement Friday.
Sydor failed field sobriety tests and was taken to the Fridley (Minn.) Police Department where a test reportedly revealed he had a blood alcohol level of .30.
Sydor, 43, was driving his 12-year-old son to his hockey game, according to the Fridley Police.
Lt. Mike Monsrud of the Fridley Police Department said Sydor was observed displaying "erratic behavior" such as swerving and making wide turns.
