Reid Duke and Nolan Patrick proved too much for the Calgary Hitmen on Friday.
Duke and Patrick combined for six points for the Brandon Wheat Kings in a 6-1 win over the Hitmen at Westman Place in Brandon, Man.
Patrick, the projected No. 1 selection in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft, had a goal and two assists, as did Duke, while Tyler Coulter scored twice for the Wheat Kings.
Jake Kryski scored the lone goal for the Hitmen in the second of a three-game road trip. The Hitmen lost 4-3 at the Moose Jaw Warriors on Wednesday and will conclude the trip Saturday against the Regina Pats.
