In terms of the sport’s tradition and interest, Quebec’s capital city is second to none. Hall of Famers Jean Beliveau, Guy Lafleur and Michel Goulet were junior hockey standouts there. Patrick Roy cut his coaching teeth there. Stars such as Goulet, Peter Stastny and, early in his career, a young Mats Sundin, made the NHL’s Nordiques a force there.
