The Great One has a great pet peeve.
On the 30th anniversary this week of Wayne Gretzky's record-setting 215-point NHL season, the four-time Stanley Cup champion has a bone to pick with the way hockey is currently being played.
Gretzky knows the game has evolved, but feels the manner in which players are coached and trained nowadays has had an effect on goal scoring.
"When I was 10 years old, they'd throw a puck on the ice and say, 'Go score,'" Gretzky told the New York Times. "Now, at 10 years old, the kids are taught to play in their lanes.
