The United States’ entry in the ongoing 2022 World Junior Championship is really good. The Americans have been an offensive force so far in the tournament, and one of their standouts has been Calgary Flames prospect Matt Coronato.
On Saturday afternoon, Coronato used ample patience to score in the first period against Austria to extend Team USA’s lead to 2-0.
With the Americans already up 1-0 – after Coronato’s puck retrieval and pass from below the goal line set up defender Wyatt Kaiser for a great chance from the point – Coronato received a pass from teammate Logan Cooley in front of Austrian goaltender Leon Sommer.
