Stockton Heat rookie Jakob Pelletier scored an outstanding game-winning goal to help propel his team to a 3–2 overtime victory over the Colorado Eagles on Nov. 26
The 20-year-old winger tallied his seventh goal in only his 14th professional game at the 2:03 mark of the extra frame to improve his team’s record to 11–1–2. Martin Pospisil and Nick DeSimone picked up the helpers on the play.
After DeSimone and Pospisil broke the puck into the Colorado zone, Pelletier jumped off the bench and picked it up at the blue line. Pelletier circled the left side of the offensive zone before cutting past a flat-footed Sampo Ranta and sliding the puck past Eagles goaltender Justus Annunen.
