Calgary Flames prospect Walker Duehr will become the first player from South Dakota ever to play in the National Hockey League when he makes his debut in Calgary’s game against the Ottawa Senators on Sunday.
The Flames recalled Duehr from the Stockton Heat of the American Hockey League on Nov. 4. The 23-year-old Sioux Falls, SD product has two goals and three points in five games with the Heat this season.

Duehr replaces Tyler Pitlick (day-to-day, lower body injury) in the Flames’ lineup.
