Dennis Wideman has gone from being an unhealthy distraction last year to being a healthy scratch this year.
In just three games he’s been bumped from the top pairing alongside Mark Giordano, to the third pairing, to a seat in the press box Saturday.
Given how much he loves hanging with the media, you can bet he’s not happy about it.
“When you’re younger you get to see stuff (by sitting in the press box) but I don’t know what positive there is to take out of it,” said the 33-year-old defenceman Monday.
“But it’s not my job to do that.
