Two Calgary Flames prospects have been named finalists for the QMJHL’s Frank J. Selke trophy.
Moncton Wildcats F Jakob Pelletier and the Rimouski Oceanic F Dmitry Zavgorodniy are up for the award issued to the league’s most sportsmanlike player, the Calgary Sun’s Wes Gilbertson reported Wednesday.
Pelletier, 19, was drafted by the Flames in the first round of the 2019 NHL draft and scored 32 goals and 82 points in 57 games this year — good for 10th in the league.
Zavgorodniy, 19, was taken by the club in the seventh round of the 2018 draft.
