The man between the pipes since Miikka Kiprusoff walked away has been a revolving door of mediocrity for the Calgary Flames. There is hope though, that the giant 22 year old in Stockton will end up being the answer to management’s prayers. Jon Gillies sat out almost all of last season after having hip surgery to repair an old injury, but should be ready to go for this coming season.
While being tabbed as the goalie of the future, the Flames aren’t rushing Gillies to Calgary.
