Welcome back to another edition of Throwback Thursday!
This week in 1998 (July 21), the Calgary Flames claimed Phil Housley off waivers from the Washington Capitals.
It was his second stint in Calgary after being previous acquired in the Al MacInnis deal in 1994. That first stint, however, lasted only two seasons, but Housley scored 95 points in 102 games.
In Feb. 1996, Calgary traded him to the New Jersey Devils with Dan Deczmer for Tommy Ablein, Cale Hulse and Jocelyn Lemieux.
Back to 1998 where Housley, then 33, had just completed his second year with the Washington Capitals.
