This week in 1981 (June 10), the Calgary Flames drafted Al MacInnis 15th overall.
The future Hall of Famer had an incredible 13-year career with the Flames. He scored 213 goals and 822 points in 803 games with the Flames and was a stalwart defencemen despite never winning a Norris trophy with Calgary.
He did, however, score 31 points in 22 games when the Flames won the 1989 Stanley Cup where he won the Conn Smythe trophy.
