The Edmonton Oilers have signed NHL phenom-in-waiting Connor McDavid to a three-year entry level contract.
The deal was announced Friday morning.
Meanwhile, Rexall Place is filling up for the Friday's Oilers orientation camp, where, among others, McDavid, 2014 1st round pick (3rd overall) Leon Draisaitl and 2013 1st round pick (7th overall) Darnell Nurse are on the ice.
The on-ice sessions will be open to the public Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The Billy Moores Cup is played at Rexall 6:30 p.m. Monday. That's a yearly four-on-four game involving the Oilers prospects where they suit up to take on each other.
