The 2022 NHL Draft will be the ninth for the Calgary Flames under general manager Brad Treliving. In the prior eight drafts, the Flames have made seven fourth-round picks.
Here are the Flames’ fourth-rounders since 2014. The joke used to be that the Flames’ found their best players in the fourth round. But that hasn’t been the case lately.
(The Flames’ 2014 fourth-rounder was traded to Toronto for Joe Colborne.)
(The Flames’ 2015 fourth-rounder was traded to San Jose for T.J. Galiardi.)
2016: Linus Lindstrom (centre, 96th overall, Skelleftea U20 – J20 SuperElit)
A two-way centre, Lindstrom was the 8th-ranked International skater (per Central Scouting) and ranked 80th by FC Hockey in his draft class.
