Terry Jones: Sean Burke could become hockey's great goalie guru at hockey World Championship

VIENNA, Austria – The man who turned Devan Dubnyk from a disaster into a master is here to finish off the same type of transformation with Mike Smith.

If Smith stops the puck over here, Canada could win gold at the IIHF World Championship for the first time since 2007 and Sean Burke would end the season as hockey’s great goalie guru.

With a 14-42-5 record, a .904 save percentage and 3.16 goals against average, Smith’s numbers don’t inspire National Netminder confidence. But the numbers don’t tell the whole story swears Burke.
