EDMONTON – As of right now, today, for the first time in a long time, the Edmonton Oilers are a complete National Hockey League team instead of pieces and parts of a team.

After nine straight seasons out of them and on the verge of equaling the Florida Panthers record of 10, new general manager Peter Chiarelli has make all the right moves to totally transform the Oilers into a long term reach-for-the-top hockey team.

On Free Agent Frenzy Day, Chiarelli used some of his available cap space money to sign Andrej Sekera to a six-year deal worth $33 million (cap hit of $5.
