PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC - They may not have been quite the world-beaters that Jaromir Jagr made them out to be. But they were good enough to beat the team from this part of the world 6-3.
“Canada has brought an all-star team here,” said Jagr going into the game.
“You can hardly imagine Canada could bring a better team. It’s one of the strongest teams I have ever seen from them.”
The thing about beating the Czech Republic in Prague is the level of passion and enthusiasm involved. You’d write it as Canada having to beat not only the Czechs but the Czech fans except the Canadians seemed to thrive off the buzz in the building as much as the home team.
