Calgary Flames goaltender Cam Talbot has been named the NHL’s third star of week.
Talbot went red hot in three games for the Flames last week with a 3-0 record (1.67 GAA, .953 save %) that helped the club secure first place in the Pacific Division following a Saturday win against the Edmonton Oilers.
On Jan. 7, Talbot’s 31 save effort helped the Flames beat the Chicago Blackhawks 2-1 and two night later he stood tall stopping 42 shots in a 2-1 win over the Minnesota Wild.
The 32-year-old Caledonia, Ont. native closed out his week with a 29 save night against the @Edmonton Oilers Saturday night.
