No one would blame Linden Vey for feeling distracted over the past few years of his career.
Considering what the newly signed Calgary Flames forward was dealing with off-the ice — the pressures of his family’s court case — it’s admirable he’s been able to persevere.
On June 5, his father, Curtis Vey, and Angela Nicholson — a Saskatchewan couple accused of plotting to kill their spouses in 2013 — were found guilty of conspiracy to commit murder against Jim Taylor, Nicholson’s husband, and Brigitte Vey, the centre’s mother.
“It’s a tough situation,” he was saying on Tuesday.
