NEW YORK - There was a brief moment a week ago when Marc Staal peeked across the New York Rangers dressing room at brother Eric and contemplated how far they had come, a winding journey from a frosty backyard rink in Thunder Bay to the bright lights of Broadway.
It was less than an hour prior to puck drop for the opening of the Rangers-Penguins series at Pittsburgh’s CONSOL Energy Center, and the reality of the situation had just set in for Marc. This would be the first time that two Staal brothers would be playing a post-season game as teammates.
