TORONTO - Lawson Crouse was talking about Kingston Frontenacs teammate Spencer Watson on Friday and hit the nail on the head.
“Sometimes he comes out of the pile when you don’t think he should have the puck,” Crouse said, “and you look down and it’s on his stick.”
For those who know Watson, this description would bring a nod in agreement.
The 19-year-old Watson has been pushing through obstacles since the day he was born.
On April 25, 1996, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in London, Ont., Watson and his twin brother, Matthew, entered the world at 29 weeks; after seven weeks in the intensive care unit, and several more in step-down, the pair went home with parents Brad and Julie.
