VANCOUVER – The Sedin twins don't play enough, according to the Vancouver Canucks followers.
At the same time, the question regarding the Calgary Flames when it comes to ice time is whether their top trio of defencemen play too much.
“Our only priority is to win hockey games,” Flames head coach Bob Hartley said. “We will have all summer to rest.”
Since Mark Giordano went down to a season-ending biceps tendon tear at the end of February, Dennis Widman, Kris Russell and TJ Brodie have been playing at or close to 30 minutes per game.
While Russell and Brodie are known for their skating skills, Wideman – the second-oldest skater on the team – isn't known for his fleet feet, thus the questions whether he can hold up playing that much in a seven-game series.
