The Winnipeg Jets are adding another experienced forward to their group after agreeing to terms with Shawn Matthias.
Matthias, 28, has been added on a two-year deal that carries an average annual value of $2.125 million.
The versatile forward can play centre or wing and had 12 goals and 28 points in 71 games for the Colorado Avalanche and Toronto Maple Leafs last season.
Matthias, chosen 47th overall in the 2006 NHL Draft by the Detroit Red Wings, has 81 goals, 78 assists and 159 points in 479 NHL games.
During the 2014-15 season, Matthias put up a career-high 18 goals and 27 points in 78 games with the Vancouver Canucks.
