Sens return with win over Bruins

The snow finally fell Sunday morning and the Senators woke up to a late Christmas gift.

Dramatically outplayed and outshot, they still ended up with a gift of two points.

Backed by another stellar effort from goaltender Craig Anderson along with timely goals by Mark Stone and Mika Zibanejad, the Senators opened up a big home-and-home series against the Boston Bruins with a 3-1 victory in front of a packed house of 20,061 at the Canadian Tire Centre.

Only David Krejci was able to beat Anderson on the 39 shots he faced while the Senators made the most of the few chances they got on Tuukka Rask with only 22 shots.
