BOSTON — The Senators have got the Boston Bruins down — and only one loss away from being out.
The Senators pushed the Bruins to the brink of elimination with the club’s third straight win of the Eastern Conference quarterfinal with a massive 1-0 victory in Game 4 on Wednesday night at the TD Garden to take a 3-1 series lead. Ottawa has a chance to book a ticket to Round 2 on Friday at the Canadian Tire Centre.
Winger Bobby Ryan, who has led the charge, stepped up again with his third goal of the series to break a scoreless tie in the third period while goaltender Craig Anderson shut the door with a solid 22-save performance for his fourth career playoff shutout to give the Senators a huge upper hand.
