The Senators haven’t given hope on having a game on Parliament Hill.
They’re still waiting to find out.
Owner Eugene Melnyk told reporters Tuesday that’s his No. 1 choice but the NHL is still looking at the costs and the difficult logistics of holding an outdoor game in December 2017 on the Hill between the Montreal Canadiens and the Senators.
“It’s taking more time (than we thought it would)," Melnyk said. "It’s very expensive where we want to play it. We’re just trying to get around the logistics to see if it can even be played.
