PITTSBURGH — Moments after the devastation, during the question and answer period that followed four and a quarter periods of high drama hockey, Bobby Ryan was pressed for his inner most thoughts.
“Let’s get the hell back to Ottawa,” said the Senators winger. “I just want to go home, to be honest with you. I think we’ll talk about the rest of the stuff in a couple of days, when we have time to reflect a little bit. Too early for anything else, really.”
There will be plenty of reflecting on the great season that was during locker clean out day, which is Saturday — or about two weeks sooner than the Senators had planned.
