MONTREAL - Mark Stone could be in line for some hardware this spring.
The Senators winger was named one of three finalists for the Calder Trophy as the NHL's rookie-of-the-year Thursday night. He'll be up against Florida Panthers' defenceman Aaron Ekblad, the favourite, and Calgary Flames' forward Johnny Gaudreau when the award is handed out in Las Vegas in June.
Stone had a tremendous second half and was one of the league's leading scores since January. He finished with 26 goals and 64 points which had him tied with Gaudreau for the rookie scoring lead. It would have been a sin if he didn't get a trip to Sin City.
