Senators lose Anderson, game vs. Blues

Andrew (The Hamburglar) Hammond did everything he could to help the Senators pull off this heist.

In the end, the Senators suffered two crushing losses Tuesday night.

While the Senators erased a two-goal third-period deficit to steal a point, their playoff hopes still took a hit with a stunning 4-3 shootout loss to the St. Louis Blues in front of 17,207 at the Canadian Tire Centre. If that wasn’t enough of a blow, they’ve lost goaltender Craig Anderson for what could be an extended period with an undisclosed lower body injury.

Patrik Berglund scored — the first goal by the 22 shooters — to end a marathon skills contest to give the Blues the extra point.
