OTTAWA — Dave Cameron has a line he uses when he’s being second-guessed.
“This job will be available again,” he says. “Apply for it.”
Well now he is being second-guessed publicly by Eugene Melnyk, who already has the job of signing Cameron’s cheques. And reading into the boss’ rant Tuesday, it appears he’ll soon be paying Cameron to not coach the Senators any more.
Melnyk made it clear both he and GM Bryan Murray are beyond frustrated with the Senators’ “inconsistencies” this season, and his use of the word “stupidity” with regards to decisions made were clearly directed at the coach.
