No matter how bad the optics are concerning the fact that the hulking pugilist was voted into the NHL all-star game, the only thing Scott is guilty of is being popular among hockey fans.
Having said that, the NHL’s announcement Tuesday that Scott would continue to be the captain of the Pacific Division team at the Jan. 30-31 all-star event in Nashville has spawned far more questions than answers.
How can Scott, who was traded to the Atlantic Division’s Montreal Canadiens organization on Friday, represent a division he no longer is in?
