Saddledome, other major Alberta venues capped at half capacity

While the Calgary Flames have been dealing with their own COVID-19 outbreak, the province as a whole has been dealing with the influx of the omicron variant of the virus. In a media briefing on Tuesday afternoon, the Government of Alberta announced a series of new restrictions.

Among them, a cap on venues with over 1,000 seats – such as the Scotiabank Saddledome – capping attendance of 50% of total capacity for the foreseeable future.

Here’s the update to the restrictions:

Indoor entertainment, event and recreation facilities (Effective Dec 24 at 12:01am)
