Buffalo Sabres winger Evander Kane is reportedly the subject of a sex offence investigation.
Citing three law enforcement sources, The Buffalo News report police are probing an incident that allegedly occurred at a downtown hotel near Buffalo's First Niagara Center Sunday morning.
One law enforcement source confirmed the investigation, adding they didn't “expect it to be resolved in the very near future.” A second source told The News the alleged victim – a woman – was having memory issues.
Kane, who hasn't been charged with a crime, didn't attend Sabres practice Sunday morning.
