Jim Matheson of the Edmonton Journal is reporting that forward Sergei Kostitsyn is joining the Calgary Flames for training camp on a professional try-out agreement (PTO).
The 28-year-old product of Navapolatsk, Belarus was originally drafted in the 2005 NHL Draft by the Montreal Canadiens. He's racked up 176 points in 353 NHL contests with Montreal and the Nashville Predators. Following a stint in the KHL during the 2012-13 lockout, he returned there for the 2013-14 season. He's played for Avangard Osmk and Ak Bars Kazan in the K, putting up 89 points in 130 games.
