The Stockton Heat have reportedly added a blueliner. According to College Hockey News’ Mike McMahon, the Heat have signed Clarkson University graduating senior blueliner Greg Moro to a two year AHL contract.
Moro, 24, is originally from Edmonton. He played his junior hockey with the SJHL’s Humboldt Broncos and the AJHL’s Lloydminster Bobcats before going to college with Clarkson from 2016-17 until this season. (Fun fact: Flames assistant general manager Craig Conroy is a Clarkson alum!)
In a conference not known for gaudy offense, Moro was a solid contributor – he put up 8 goals and 45 points over 147 NCAA games.
