The Memorial Cup hosts scored twice in the final four minutes of the second period to send their bitter league rivals packing with a 5-2 victory in the dreaded tiebreaker game before 6,533 Thursday at Pepsi Colisee.
Now, all they have to do to win this thing and close their 66-year-old rink in a dreamy way is beat well-rested Kelowna and Oshawa.
That's a tall order.
They'll start down that thorny path in Friday's semifinal with the Western league champion Rockets, who they topped 4-3 a week ago.
