Don’t look now but the Calgary Flames have their first little win streak of the 2019-20 season thanks to a 5-1 victory over the Detroit Red Wings on Thursday night. The Flames got goals from Andrew Mangiapane, Elias Lindholm, Sam Bennett, Derek Ryan, and Mark Giordano in the win while David Rittich put forth yet another strong outing, making 27 saves on 28 shots.
However the victory did come at a cost with both Andrew Mangiapane and Elias Lindholm leaving early due to injury and not returning.
