PITTSBURGH - How good have the New York Rangers been away from Madison Square Garden this season?
Let’s just say many NHL teams would kill to be as good in their own buildings as the Rangers have been on the road.
Given that they rolled up a 28-11-2 away mark on their way to their Presidents’ Trophy winning season, don’t expect a timid effort from the Rangers here on Monday night when they face the Penguins in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference quarter-final.
And given the Penguins have had struggles of their own at the Consol Energy Center, the home-ice advantage might be even further diminished.
